Jobs, Education, & Training – JET
In today’s challenging economy and job market, many are finding that they must seek cash assistance from the State as a temporary support through financial crisis. Parents with children under the age of 18 may qualify for cash assistance until they attain employment. The JET Program was designed to give them job search assistance and help find community resources to help them through this difficult time. Eligibility is determined by Department of Human Services (DHS) and if the client qualifies, he/she will be referred to JET for job search assistance.
As a participant in JET, the client will receive supportive services to aid them in overcoming barriers to their job search and employment retention. The MWA is responsible for documenting their job search efforts and report that information to DHS on a weekly basis. Participation in the program is manditory and compliance must be maintained for cash assistance to continue.
