Michigan’s National Career Readiness Certificate (MI NCRC)

The Michigan National Career Readiness Certificate (MI NCRC) is a credential composed of three WorkKeys assessments that measure real world skills crucial to job success.  The MI NCRC offers job seekers and employers a universal standard endorsing the value of skills in a majority of jobs.

The benefits for jobseekers are to have recognized certificates and proof of their ability to apply their knowledge towards work and education.  Employers will benefit from hiring and retaining a better trained and skilled workforce, reduce turnover rates, and training costs.

The core components of the MI NCRC include assessments in Applied Mathematics, Reading for Information, and Locating Information.

Along with the MI NCRC, individuals have the opportunity to complete Employability Skills Training.  Employability skills correspond to essential work habits, behaviors, and attitudes required for success in the workplace.  Individuals will receive a completion of training certificate from Michigan Works! once the requirements have been met.
