TAA Process at Troy Michigan Works!

- Attend a TAA State Orientation and/or Training Orientation
- Attend an Eligibility Session if:
- Collecting Unemployment Benefits AND
- Separated from adversely affected employment after 11/1/2008
- Complete the Adult Basic Learning Exam if:
- You do not have a Master’s Degree OR
- Are not currently enrolled in a Master’s Degree program
- Meet with your assigned TAA Training Specialist
Waiver of Training Requirement
All clients that currently have an active waiver are required to contact Michigan Works! every 30 days to update their status. __ Following are the instructions on how to update an active waiver at Michigan Works! Troy: You may contact us by telephone, or by e-mail. Voice Mail and e-mail messages are acceptable provided you include all of the information requested below.

- What is your phone number?
- What is your TAA petition number?
- Are you still conducting a job search?
- Are you currently enrolled in training?
- Are you actively participating with a Michigan Works! Agency that isn’t Troy? If you are, which one?
- Are you currently employed?
